Picasso on the Beach

The exhibit, created from the collaboration with the Musée Picasso in Paris and the Musée des Beaux Arts of Lyon gathers a selection of drawings and paintings done between February and December 1937 that wind around the masterpiece of Picasso on the Beach (1937). The exhibition explores the theme of the beach that starts to change in 1937, during Picasso’s stay in Provence, becoming more visceral and intensely tied to Surrealism.
